This is my submission for the 26th day of October aka #inktober2019 and the prompt was #dark. I personally love nocturnal drawings.

This sketch is the 12th day of #inktober and my 8th drawing and I am finally feeling like I can actually move my drawing pen around and convey "something" in my heart or at least what I am prompted to!! The 12th prompt was #dragon and where oh where do I find a dragon (warning I have little sense of humor and am also very literal). So as I pondered d r a g o n...there right in front of me was a treasured mug from deruta italy with a most elegant DRAGON hand painted on it.

Today for the 11th day of October (#inktober) the prompt is #SNOW and so I searched throughout my photos (there were many) of snowy scenes to use a s a subject for my sketch. This scene caught my eye of a tiny outbuilding along Lakeside Drive, Block Island with it's almost disappearing basketball hoop. The snow has melted on the asphalt street but covering the rocks and grass.

Here are two versions of the same drawing for #INKTOBER, a month of posts - a drawing each day with a prompt or subject to use (or not) for the drawing. I posted the black and white version for this and colored it after. This is the ninth day of posts (my personal 6th) and I am feeling pressured but still enjoying it for the creativity. This is #SWING #INKTOBER2019.
This drawing is for day 8 of #inktober in my attempt to do a drawing a day for this #inktober project. There are daily "prompts" which I may choose to ignore as it sometimes feels too confining and restricting. The drawing for today does use the #inktober prompt of #FRAIL. It's a familiar tree along Corn Neck Road on Block Island.

This drawing which is the 3rd drawing for "INKTOBER" where artists work in pen and ink and do a daily sketch/drawing throughout the entire month of October. And yes, I am a few days behind but a drawing every day is a whole lot of time and discipline for me!! This is a home right on High Street on Block Island and has a wild and wonderful sculpture in it's front yard by well known artist Peruko Ccopocatty.

Near the four way, on Dodge Street tucked back is a sweet little building with two fine businesses and a lot of plantings/vegetation surrounding it. It's a pleasure to walk by and was my inspiration for #inktober2019 drawing number 2. Yes, Im a bit behind but I am going to try to keep this up through the Month.
Having followed several artists in years past as they post drawings daily in pen and ink through the month of October I was inspired to (try) to do the same this year. This quick sketch of the Block Island Fishworks is my first attempt (I missed 10/1,10/2, and 10/3) and hopefully I can keep it up! Fingers crossed!!
