Wild Turkeys are clustered at the foot of this property....the Tom has about eight or nine hens and no visible competition that I could see.

This is a commissioned drawing of a cottage not far out of the town but still tucked away and quiet. The owners are unable to get to Block Island as often as they'd like and so the husband is surprising his wife with a drawing of their home.

This small cottage sits beneath a majestic Horse Chestnut tree on West Side Road, Block Island.

Just in time for HALLOWEEN...this home is all decked out on Old Town Road, Block Island. If I had trick or treaters to make the rounds, this would surely be a high light!

This house sits overlooking a
salt marsh and regular visitors
include herons, egrets and other
shorebirds searching for their
meal.

This little cottage is on the mainland and was a commissioned drawing
as a first anniversary gift from husband to wife. They have a beautiful little home and beginning of a new life together with baby on the way!

Having been stuck inside most of these last few beautiful days, I drew this cottage on Mohegan Trail perched on a a site that looks out at the ocean from a photo taken mid winter! I added the bushes and greened up the lawn.....probably not very accurate..Oh well.

This pen and ink drawing of the Southeast Lighthouse is a commissioned piece and a gift for a bride and groom. It has taken me a while to get to it but the summer season has begun and I have finally crossed it off my "to do" list!

The forsythia has bloomed and is now just beginning to
leaf. The cooler weather here on Block Island has
slowed things down considerably. This cottage sits
near the corner of Old Town Road on Block Island
and the strong shadows inspired me to sketch it.

The color ranges of spring on a slightly cloudy
day is so lovely. The shad blooming and the sudden
burst of spring blossoms abound. This little home sits
overlooking Rodman's Hollow and appears lost in the
dense blooms.

This summer cottage is located directly across the road from the ocean. The water you see in back of the house is a salt water tidal pond, You can often see clammers as well as an oyster farm from the back yard
and a variety of shorebirds of all kinds.

This home sits at the top of a long hill headed
to Settlers Rock. Since I was a young girl
I have always loved the way it is sited ~
the lines of the cottage and it's outbuildings.

This drawing was a commission as a wedding gift.
My last posted drawing was the opposite as far as
detail and was loose and spontaneous. As for this
one..very tedious and detailed (but done).

This beautiful old island
Farmhouse is located near Pilot Hill
on Block Island. The foggy day was
accentuated by the bare colors of winter
turning to spring.
