A quick sketch of the boulders and sea in the BVI where we were lucky enough to spend a couple weeks.
This little building sits near the RedBird package store on Block Island and was a commissioned drawing/gift  for the new owner.

This group of buildings sits at the corner of Cooneymus  Road and Lakeside Drive overlooking Fresh Pond on Block Island.  The little building in the foreground is a chicken coop!

This just completed drawing is of a new island home with an accessory
building in the not too far distance.  It has nice traditional lines and
was a pleasure to draw....adding touches to make it look like mid summertime.

It's holiday season and I am busy drawing
peoples homes.  This house commands a most
amazing view but still feels tucked away.  This
is the third drawing in a row that the client
chose not to add watercolor to the pen and ink.

A customer came into the gallery looking
for a gift for her hostess and commissioned
me to do a drawing of the home.  This is the black and white version however I may add
a watercolor wash in a following post if the
recipient wants that.

There was a wedding celebrated this past Fall in the yard of this cottage and the drawing is to be a gift for the bride and groom.

Blue skies, blooming hydrangeas,  and summer in full swing is a fun thing to work on in the middle of a very cold spell here on Block Island where this home is located and where I work and live year round.

This drawing of a home in Connecticut was a commission for someone. The home has changed ownership and the drawing will (hopefully) serve as a memory of many happy years there!

This small outbuilding has withstood  a lot of weather and time here on Block Island. A friend and I chose this site to sketch on this very balmy but overcast November 11th, 2014.

After a long and hectic half a year (yikes) I dusted off my drawing pens
and worked on a commissioned job embellishing  a wedding invitation with a border of
Block Island stone walls, a hint of the New Harbor and a glimpse of the
Sullivan House where the joyful event took place. This was a gift for the Bride and Groom from a good friend of theirs.

This drawing was a commission for the owners of this sweet home set back off the road on Lakeside Drive, Block Island.  The colors of early summer are a reminder in the mid winter cold.

The Lilac Cottage overlooks the Tea Room Pond on West Side Road.  I have always been drawn (no pun intended) to small buildings.
This National Park in the British Virgin Islands  is where the ruins of the Copper Mine are located  This historic 19th century site is undergoing restoration. It sits on a cliff on the southeast side of Virgin Gorda.

I was strolling towards the beach the other afternoon and took some photos en route.  This is off the corner of Chapel Street on Old Town Road..tiny doll house sized buildings.  The one in the foreground houses a favorite lunch restaurant called the The Three Sisters. It's presently closed for the winter.
